From Protection to Prevention: Redefining Vaccines in the Context of Antimicrobial Resistance

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global health threat, affecting treatment effectiveness and increasing medical risks. Vaccines play a crucial role in reducing AMR by preventing infections and reducing antibiotic use. Expanding vaccine coverage aligns with global health priorities. Equitable funding and policy support are needed for vaccine initiatives, and more detailed investigations into vaccines’ economic and health benefits are needed.
